James Nunn
Having witnessed the pitfalls of a ‘very basic and hideously unstable’ press release archive on a website he inherited,
Mik shut that down and teamed up with James Nunn to develop a more complete online media centre.
James is responsible primarily
for the concept and design as well as the research and business development for WorldPressLounge. He holds an honours degree
in economics and joined international PR group Kinross + Render (K+R) in 1987, where he became Account and IT Director and took K+R
into the Top 20 IT consultancies in the UK.
James has also worked as a freelance journalist writing for the Daily Telegraph,
Computer Weekly and a range of leading business and technology publications. He has undertaken a number of research programmes
and written white papers and features for companies such as IBM, Computacenter, 3Com and Microsoft. James brings a unique perspective
to WorldPressLounge. Like Mik at Actuality Media, he has worked from every side of the PR fence - as a consultant, as a client
and as a journalist.
Basile is responsible for the technical design, development and support for WorldPressLounge. A graduate
of the University of Amsterdam and already knee-high in technology, Basile started his career in the media, working in the creative
department and desktop publishing for the NOS Dutch Television Broadcasting Corporation. Here, Basile jumped into the deep-end
of design, layout and structure, later working as a production assistant for several documentaries.
With his educational background
in technology, Basile applied his dual media and technology skills and started a small web company which quickly merged into a website
build and hosting company. After four years of building websites in the dotcom 'boom' era, Basile and a few colleagues realised an
opportunity to start a specialist web development company catering for the 'higher end' Internet and IT services. This was responsible
for some high profile websites and intranets as well as some highly sophisticated online payments and banking systems. Basile
and his team are responsible for the technical design, build and implementation of WorldPressLounge.
