Brighter Futures - Birmingham services for children and young people
Securing positive coverage for a weighty and often academic
piece of research is never easy – but so far we have achieved coverage in the likes of the Daily Mail, Radio Four Today Programme,
Independent, Telegraph, Express, Birmingham Mail, various local papers up and down the country and specialist press and websites.
Actuality
Media was appointed to support the internal and external communications of a new strategy for delivering services to Birmingham’s
quarter of a million children and young people.
On a practical note this has meant researching and writing articles for publications
as varied as Educ8 (aimed at teenagers), to staff magazines, an MPs newsletter, the Birmingham Post and Parliamentary Monitor. We have also ghostwritten articles for senior politicians.
As the strategy moves from political approval to implementation phase,
we are now involved in the campaign planning to find practical ways of presenting the proposals in ways that are more relevant to
a wide range of audiences.
That is how we are already securing national coverage to raise the profile of the good work that is
being done in Birmingham.
